Mo

Ok, I know it's not even playoff time yet and I may be jumping the gun. But as the Green Bay Packers proved this past football season, momentum can go a long a way toward a championship season. Paraphrasing a Supreme Court ruling that was made when an artist was prevented from showing his work in a community because it was considered pornographic, the community couldn't tell you what pornography was, but they knew it when they saw it. I feel the same way about the Chicago Bulls.

The Bulls won their 61st game of the season, defeating the Knicks in the Garden. The win is the Bulls eighth in a row and tenth out of their last eleven. The engine that makes this team go is probable MVP (even though in the post game interview he told David Aldridge not to say that) Derrick Rose, who scored 26 points on 10-19 shooting. Rose, who is the first Bull since (dare I say) Michael Jordan to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated back in 1999, scored seven points in a row to fuel a 17-0 run to the win. This was fueled by tough defense (another championship trait) in which the Knicks, who are second in the league in scoring, opened the second half missing 12 of their first 13 shots. By the way, Carlos Boozer had 14 points and 22 rebounds.

The starters played the entire game. Probable Coach of the Year (there's that word again) Tom Thibodeau is not taking his foot off the gas. They have the entire off season to rest. While they have the (so-called) big three is in South Beach, the big three in the windy city of Rose, Boozer and Deng (23 points and ten rebounds last night) aren't too shabby. Can you say Eastern Conference Finals?

  1. Hoping on the Bullls train already. So the Bulls play good Dee but can the big men stop the big men of the East and then score enough to keep up with a balanced scoring team. Bulls beat Pacer then play a good Magic or Atlanta Team -(Magic - probably) But then Once they play the Celtics who play balanced ball I'm not sure the Bulls can match that. Let Rose score stop everybody else. Bulls vs Celtics in the east finals - yes Celtics would play the Heat
